WCCC Mass Chaos 2012 Comcast Theater Hartford CT Saturday May 19, 2012

I got there later than I wanted to but I got there in time to catch some great band with a great crowd on a perfect late spring day. WCCC has been around as the hard rock station of Hartford CT for longer than I have but still remain current and keep rock alive in this lame city.

Maroon 5 ft. Wiz Khalifa “Payphone” Video, Reviewed

The song itself is your typical “we broke up and I miss her” song. It kind of has the overall message of people change and I guess we changed because you dumped me but I wish we could go back to the way things were.

Not With The Band: Isn’t Forgiveness Always A Lie?

First of all why should I forgive Chris Brown? I wasn’t the one whom he assaulted, he didn’t do anything to me (or to Cheryl Cole), I have nothing to forgive him, if there is some forgiveness to occur, it’s between him and Rihanna. But then, abusers, especially physical abusers, are a special species, there are actions which are truly unforgivable.

Despite What You Think, Delta Goodrem Has Never Heard Of Arcade Fire

There is an undeniable similarity indeed, that crescendo with the piano, but her voice is auto-tuned-commercial-style, and for me, her song sounds so much like a bad remix ready for dance clubs, that it is difficult to hear the Arcade Fire song. But the most surprising in this story is that Goodrem had never heard of Arcade Fire… wow, Australia is really the last frontier.

Can I Get a Hum Hallelujah? Patrick Stump Not Quitting Music

is not unlike the pretty girl who keeps saying shes ugly to get the compliment bus heading her way, or is it? Stump seems the most un-ego driven artist in pop. He doesn’t hug a genre and he didn’t bow to Pete Wentz (then again where is he these days??)

Chrissie Hynde The 200,000th Signature To End Animal Testing

Animals are kept in deplorable conditions and subjected to barbaric tests to make sure that shade of lipstick will do you no harm. The problem is the tests have been done thousands of times before. The results are the same, yet we continue to torture in the name of beauty.

Listen Up 5-22-12

I’m Still The Same Person – Sister Crayon – How were they last night? I dunno yet, but if this is anything to go by they were a haunted buncha kids with a good chick singer, sound effects and keyboards aplenty in this Sacramento indie band – Grade: B+

Paul Weller At Best Buy Theater, Saturday, May 19th, 2012

His set at Best Buy on Saturday night was the man we have seen for over 35 years; playing his solo material, more, than that, his 21st Century solo material, looking back atsome mid-90s solo career highs and throwing in an occasional Jam song for taste.

William Beckett The Space Saturday May 19, 2012

Opening up with a Damien Rice tune, playing a few unreleased songs, and even an acoustic rendition of “Seed”, it was certainly eclectic. The live version of “Girl You Should Have Been A Drummer” was so great and his energy was untoppable.
