Feb 23 No Spice for The Jubilee
Is that legal? I mean if you’re a Brit and the Queen summons you, even if it’s a party, aren’t you supposed to go? “Too busy”? I think you can get hung or put in a dudgeon or something for things like that.

Feb 23 No Camera, No Photo Policy At Concerts
Adams is not allowing any pictures on this tour, not even for professional journalists, and his PR is actually encouraging reviewers to bring along a sketch artist! What? Like in a courtroom? Sorry but I was too far to have produced any good sketch of him, and that would have distracted me

Feb 23 Bruce Springsteen’s “Shacked And Drawn” Reviewed (Song Available For Streaming)
good humor, smarky lyric and a sense of community will get over better than harangueing every time. And a song you wanna singalong to will enlist more people than a stomping snarl. Especially if the snarl sucks.

Feb 23 Ides Of Gemini at Vacation Vinyl on Monday February 20th, 2012

Feb 23 President Obama Sings Robert Johnson’s “Sweet Home Chicago”
Clinton? Baby boomer. You can’t imagine him quoting Jay-Z. And while it is true that Clinton could actually blow the sa, he never had the cool of Obama. Obama is a hip hop president. Nixon, Reagan, Senior? Dubya was a lonesome cowboy who never got much further along than Toby Keith.

Feb 23 Milo Greene, the Satellite, Monday February 20th, 2012, Reviewed
With layered voices and sweet harmonies, their breezy and folkish tunes were actually more poppy than country or folk despite the use of a banjo and a tambourine on some songs

Feb 23 A Sinead O’Connor Playlist
her performance at Highline Ballroom starting today, the time seems ripe for a fave Sinead list. A little random, I admit, but enough well known songs. I am a big fan and have seen her on stage quite a few times but not in a long while.

Feb 23 Got A Grand? Meet The Beach Boys…
Look, the Bech Boys are NOT Bon Jovi. When you paid a coupla grand to meet Bon Jovi, you got stuck with their roadie. I am assuming you will get Al Jardine at the very least! Plus, cmon, it’s the Beach Boys.

Feb 23 Rihanna And Chris Brown Duet On “Birthday Cake”

Feb 23 SKRILLEX “Bangarang” Video Reviewed
The video is an epic adventure that the basic Fight Club or World of Warcraft geek is going to find ‘awesome’ and ‘amazing’ but that anyone who can get in to an R rated movie without an adult will find a bit cliche’. Been there, done that, took the Advil.

Feb 23 MFT 2-23-12
The magic of the blues, certainly the magic of the blues the way Johnson played it, was its intimate timelessness. Johnson met the devil on the crossroad and then he went back to Chicago, and ever since then we’ve made that trip with him.

Feb 22 McKinley Dixon “Free Fall (Part 2)” Feat. Blackbear-Free Download
At just sixteen years old, McKinley Dixon, an Annapolis, Maryland native, can sure throw beats together like nothing, and create a powerful, professional sounding song. It takes a lot of confidence to put yourself out there as a younger musician, especially when there’s always someone criticizing you
