The buzz on My Morning Jacket's lead singer Jim James is getting pretty deafening, mostly because the first single, an electronic r&b beauty, better than anything he's done since "Evil Urges" has all of us were huge fans now less so, excited again. It has been five years since that New Year's Eve gig at MSG, and we can't take any more supergroups or George Harrison cover EPs.
"Know Til Now" is good enough to hold your attention and the album,Regions Of Light And Sound Of God, will be here February 5th. There will be two local gigs, MHOW which goes on sale Friday and a set at The McKittrick Hotel, Home of SLEEP NO MORE – NYC. The former is February 19th, the latter February 20th. I saw Laura Marling at The McKittrick and was pretty much wowed by her, still since the Sleep No More includes a tix to Sleep No More, it is probably pricy.
