(Editors Note: The entire cut4beiber deal began as a hoax. 4Chan, online forum site had a post in which it was suggested that people start up fake Twitter accounts and tweet pics of self mutilation for Beiber to stop smoking weed. 4Chan.org is message board that is well known for hosting disturbing conversations in a 'no holds barred environment'. This 'practical joke' snowballed into an actual event- once again proving that the blind will follow like sheep. Social media is a playground for psychos and sadists, surf with caution -hb)Fan girls around the world, ages 12-17, are literally cutting their wrists, posting the picture on Twitter, and @replying Justin Bieber with the hash-tag #Cut4Bieber, adding comments like "Please stop doing this Justin, or I won't stop bleeding for you. Till I drop dead." What sparked this horrific movement? The picture of Justin smoking a joint!
I've heard of ridiculous fan girls, but this is insane. If you read TMZ or read any gossip sites, you probably know that recently, eighteen year old pop sensation Justin Beiber was photographed smoking what seemed like a joint or a cigarette (definitely a joint). To the average person, it isn't that big of a deal. I laughed and gave him a thumbs up. The kid is my age; he's young and he's bound to do what young men do at this age, which is party. Unfortunately, it resulted in the disgusting #Cut4Bieber hash tag. It's been trending since this morning.
People on Twitter are pissed. Luckily, most of the tweets with this hash tag are tweets from people who are bewildered and concerned. Stars like Miley Cyrus are already responding to this disrespectful hash tag.
Miley tweets: "#cut4bieber ? Cutting is NOT something to joke about. There are people who actually suffer from Self-harm, this is so disrespectful."
This situation is completely sad, selfish, and inconsiderate. These kids are not only harming themselves for someone who probably gives three shits about them, they are disrespecting so many girls and boys who actually have problems with self-harm and suicide. This situation angers me deeply, the blatant ignorance that is spreading among these vulnerable little girls and boys is beyond distasteful. As a person who knows people who still suffer from this kind of suicidal mentality, I am so sick to my stomach that this is actually happening. These repugnant fans need mental help.
Now who is to blame? Justin? He should have known being a huge superstar, he needs to be careful about who he is with and what he does around them. Are parents to blame? Letting your child as young as twelve to use social media without monitoring them or setting restrictions?
Still no statements from Justin. Though I don't know what Justin's reps or Justin himself will do or say regarding thousands of his fans physically hurting themselves. I feel like Justin won't and can't really do much. But I mean, he's a singer. I suggest Justin stop smoking, it'll harm his incredible girly vocals.

Were you not the least bit of concerned that 4chan caused these kids to self harm? What if that was your daughter/son, or little sister/brother? Sure you’d slap them and tell them to stop being a follower, but still.
4Chan has gone too far. It’s one thing to try and convince Justin Bieber fans to shave their heads (that was 4Chan’s first attempt); it’s another thing to encourage vulnerable young kids to self-harm. “For the lulz”. I think policing agencies across the world should investigate 4Chan; if there’s any chance that the site’s maintainers have participated in this, they should be thrown in jail.

Look, if these people were cutting themselves for something as dumb as this, chances are they were going to anyway, or they’re so dumb they don’t deserve to be unhurt anyways. Look, 4chan did nothing wrong, they tried to start a joke and a bunch of idiotic teens took it literally, not our problem. Get the hell over it.
Well, you have a good point. 4chan is THAT site for things I’d rather not hear or see. People over the age of probably 14 or so should know better unless they are literally crazy. But you have to take into consideration the fact that young girls can be manipulated into doing anything stupid, like this. It starts off as a joke, even though cutting and self harm is a very serious mental issue for people who actually suffer from severe depression/suicidal thoughts. You wouldn’t joke about getting cancer for Bieber. Okay, that’s a little exaggerated but you get the point. The people on 4chan have every right to say whatever they want, but we’re human, and when it comes down to it, there are certain topics that need to be taken less lightly, and we have to be less selfish. Might be funny to the people who don’t like him, but those fan girls are insane.
I just realized a little bit ago as to what this was all about, I am horrified! My niece is in a clinic for self-harm and suicide thankfully she abhors Justin Beiber so I don’t have to worry about her. (unfortunately her reasons aren’t much better than these girls).
