It is rare to be surprised by a local show when you spend most of your down time looking up tour dates. However, Unlimited Gravity and Project Aspect did just that by showing up at the north lake casino on a random Tuesday night. I grabbed my close group of friends expecting to have an average night of electronics and dubstep; instead, though, i was completely blown away by two of the most innovative hip-hop djs coming up right now. Coming out and performing all new, original music, Jay and Ronnie showed Lake Tahoe exactly what it means to be fresh in an increasingly stale genre.

The two musicians played solo sets at first and wowed the crowd by being exceptionally creative with their incredible produced grooves and adding live spins on everything that was played. Adding new build-ups and flawlessly using audio effects throughout their entire solo sets was truly a set of two very impressive performances. After this though, would turn out to be the highlight of the night: Unlimited Aspect.

Colorado's Unlimited Aspect have been making music together while leading the Mile High Sound Movement. Their goal, as should be with all new artists, is to add light to the mundane and continue to push the sharing of great new music to the world. And, with both of their talents combined, everyone should be listening. When they came out together they were able to do even more live experimenting than I thought possible. With two APC-40’s(Ableton Controllers) and Unlimited’s live MIDI keyboard, I think they may not have even scratched the surface of their potential, which is really exciting for music lovers everywhere.

Together they have found a sound that fits into the a steady hip-hop structure but is pushing the envelope on heavy

bass. As good as of a producer Pretty Lights is, he his not even coming close to the energy that Unlimited Aspect is

capturing every night. These two are making hip-hop, but are producing filthier breakdowns than most Dubstep djs

right now. They are pushing into this live music industry quickly and with their combined talent I think and hope they will

be headlining and selling out venues very soon. Keep it up guys, you’re changing the game.
