Four Year Strong “Fever”

Four Year Strong has come up with something revolutionary.  They've created a comic book titled Infected: The Comic Book.  It appears to feature the band as comic book heroes kicking ass and taking names.  It also seems zombie-oriented, which is so freakin' cool.  The illustration looks absolutely incredible, and the detail is quite impressive.  The book itself was written by Dan O'Connor and Tom Colella.

The illustrator, Jamie Givens, is an artist that I've been a fan of for quite a bit, did a phenomenal job on the comic.  From what I can tell, it's some of his best work and I'm thoroughly impressed.

The comic is based of FYS' song "The Infected", which I love.  It's a step forward from their older stuff, and it's a nice change.  Their sound is heavier now that their synth player is gone and I adore the vocals- they're really what makes the song brilliant.  I can see crowds moshing to this tune more than their previous work.  Because it has a rougher quality, I think it'll be more widely appreciated and I hope that it'll bring FYS significantly more popularity.  I just can't get enough of this fantastic song.  The musicianship and detail put into the guitars and drums are breathtaking.  It's the best song that they've ever done.
