Warped Tour is becoming more of a 1 day life event than a concert. Im convinced that they cant possilby gon as a one day event if thisngs continue as they are- tehre is just too much awesomeness to be contained in a 12ish hour span.
Bandhappy.com is offering up a ridiculously cool idea in their tent. How about a music lesson with a Warped performer? I was unable to determine the length of lesson but lets assume its a half hour. Is it worth missing a live set for that? YES.
All you have to do is sign up on the day of the event to book your spot. There you are one on one with your idol learning some rock moves. Fantastic idea and a great break in the heat (I'd hope!). I thnk this is just another way that Warped is making music festivals a more dynamic experience. I have been raving about this traveling circus for years now and this years line up coupled with fantastic opportunities such as this just add to my cred.
The artist participating changes at each stop so check the website for whos servin up schooling in your area. Rates are more than fair too, pretty much in line with the private music lesson rates in your home town. This adds alot of cred though.. hey I learned that from Jack O'Shea sounds way cooler than I learned this from Mr Widdleman. Dig?
