Sebastian Bach “I’m Alive”, Video Review

We are not related.  Sebastian is 44 years old and has arms that resemble raw chicken breasts.  His face is getting a bit haggard and c'mon, Nice and Easy covers the grey.

So now that all these 40+ year old metal guys have hit their midlife (cuz in their business 45 is middle age) they all think they have 'it'.  Here is a whining dream world video in which the heartfelt lyrics of idiocy are belted out in a tired pathetic manner.

Lets be honest, Bach is never going to get a girl like that now- 30 years ago, maybe now? Hell no that's his babysitter or pharmacist.  I have a feeling he was going with the Scott Weiland school of thought here, by slowing it down and not really straining to hit highs it comes across as lament.

Its really just spent vocal chords.    This is awful, maybe MTV no longer shows videos to spare us from crap like this?

Quoting Sleazerock here so I have some positive words for the guy….

"Sebastian Bach has sold in excess of 20 million records worldwide as lead singer with his former band, Skid Row and as a solo artist. Far from just being a multi-platinum recording artist, the singer/songwriter/actor/entertainer has expanded his career over the past decade to include episodic television with a 5-season recurring role on the CW's hit series "Gilmore Girls", starring roles on Broadway ("Jekyll & Hyde", "The Rocky Horror Picture Show") and national touring companies ("Jesus Christ Superstar"), and has appeared regularly on MTV and VH1."

  1. I will have to argue a little here. I have been a fan of Skid Row and Sebastian Bach since i was 14 years old. I am now 33 and although he is a little older he still has those good looks, oodles of personality and is still in my book one of the most talented and gifted singers in metal music. His latest album is fantastic and he gets better as he goes along. Just my opinion.
