"Spreading a cloak of love", the woman is out of her mind.

Patti Smith is still around with her signature city swagger.  Never was I a fan and never did I understand what made her such an icon and wtf with that whole 'Horses" bit?

Fuji-San”, which is a remembrance for the victims of Japan’s Tohoku earthquake.  Really?

It has been 8 years since Smith released new material and I don't think anyone has been chomping at the bit. She is a pillar of nyc village chic days gone by but the days have gone.  She really is CBGBs only no one has shut her down.  I wonder why shes not participating in the CBGB celebration. 

The new album called Banga is out on June 5th and its streaming now over at NPR.  You don't have to listen to it if you don't want to, npr.org
