Of Monsters and Men, “Little Talks” Reviewed

Typically I can't stand female singers- they irk me; their voices are just never bearable. However, I recently came across a band that most certainly attracted my attention.
The band Of Monsters And Men sounded suspiciously like Of Mice & Men, so I was skeptical at first.  Then, through further research I found out that they had a female vocalist, and I didn't want to give them a chance.  I heard a tune come up on a YouTube playlist and I really liked it, even though the singer was female. Ironically enough, it was Of Monsters And Men!

The song "Little Talks" is so gorgeous.  I love it.  It kind of makes me feel like a little kid again.  It reminds me of skipping down the sidewalk and not having any cares.  The beat is super fun; every aspect of it appeals to me- even her voice.  The guy's vocals balance it out, not making it too feminine, but it still feels light and airy.

I adore the music video.  It isn't like anything I've ever seen before.  It's so unique and well done and I'm fascinated with it.  I've watched it at least four or five times already.  It's almost like the girl is trying to fight off her demons and fears, and at the end she realizes that they're what are important to her, and she accepts them.  It's really pretty and the imagery is deep and easy to get lost in.  I was so drawn in watching it, that even looking at it another time I'm fascinated.
