1. Bobbing For Apples – Regina Spektor – Regina in Somalia is drinking too much, thinking on some guy (?), and can't sleep because the couple in the next room is fucking to one of her songs. I saw her perform this with just guitar at the Beacon in 2009… quite simply superb! Grade: A+

2. Add Some Music To Your Day – The Beach Boys – The highlight of the concert on Wednesday, remains a wonder of not harmony but tempo – Grade: B+

3. Guitar Town – Steve Earle – The lick is just ridiculous. I once wrote a short story about this song: "Twenty Seven Dollars And A Jap Guitar" - Grade: A+

4. Bugs Bunny Overture – TB Themes – The Beach Boys doesn't make me nostalgic, but this takes me straight back to Sunday afternoons at my late and much loved Auntie Paula's house with my cousins -musta been 7, 8 years old. Grade: A

5.Walking On the Moon – Karmin – The rap is really quite good for a white girl from nebraska – Grade: B

6. You Are All I See – Active child – That harp is mahical and so is the voice – Grade: A-

7. Aplle Carts – Damon Albarns – this is opera? Sounds like bad folk Grade: C

8. Quality Street – Van Morrison – A great love song, with a twist of God – Grade: A+

9. Welcome to the Ball – Rufus Wainwright – It sounds like a 70s glam song written from a 40s hollywood musical perception – Grade: A
