I hate driving. Let me rephrase that; I hate other drivers.
This very entertaining short video featuring drummer Corey Pierce from metal thrasher band God Forbid just about sums up everything I hate about driving, and then some. Corey rants about slow drivers, drivers who don't know how to drive, or drivers that just don't know what the hell is going on. "The hesitate-rs; 'oh should I change lanes, maybe, I don't-uh, um I don't know.'" Corey's frustrated antics on the road led to a priceless lesson about driving in New Jersey, especially in New Jersey where practically no rules apply, all that matters is speed and location, and flipping the bird is actually flattering. The video is relatable, laughable, and no matter what anyone says, very true.
Corey put these drivers on blast in what seems like just a small part of God Forbid's life on the road. He rants about the commuter life, and if you aren't commuting anywhere, then you need to get the hell out the freakin road. "Driving with me is the shit, I keep it moving." Sounds like something Helen would say. The woman goes 100mph without wincing once.
The Victory Records signed band will be hitting big cities like Los Angeles, Detroit, New York, Philly, and Chicago with Overkill, who are also from New Jersey. I can see both bands discussing how much they despise out-of-state drivers in NJ. The tour starts April 20th at the Trocadero Theatre in Philadelphia, PA.
God Forbid's sixth studio album "Equilibrium" is brutal and untamed. I really recommend this album to any fan of heavy metal.
