Courtney Love Makes Us Forget About How Crazy She Is, With An Hole Reunion
Courtney Love Makes Us Forget About How Crazy She Is, With An Hole Reunion

What? A post about Courtney Love that doesn’t involve anything scandalous, over the top or even crazy? See, it happens sometimes.

Courtney Love showed up at New York City’s Public Assembly on Friday night, as drummer Patty Schemel, bassist Melissa Auf Der Maur, and guitarist Eric Erlandson, the 90s members of the rock band Hole, were performing during an afterparty for the premiere of the documentary about Schemel’ s drug addiction that nearly killed her, ‘Hit So Hard’.

Courtney Love joined them on stage for two songs, ‘Miss World’ and The Wipers’ cover ‘Over the Edge’, and the crowd went nuts, even screaming ‘I love you’…. Really? Do they read the news? After flirting about her guitar strap with Erlandson (the same guy who recently released a book ‘Letters to Kurt’ and said that deep down inside Courtney ‘is a sweet little kitten’) Courtney started her usual dispirited singing that I still find horrible – but if you like this style, it is actually efficient – and she came back on stage for the second song, at the crowd overwhelming demand for an encore.

The strange thing is that she acted pretty normal, she was not even wasted, and she hugged Erlandson for the longest time. People seemed to respect her, and genuinely love her. Does she have an evil twin on Twitter, or is it the same person? Is the press always fair to her? Why is she always picking a fight with someone, from Dave Grohl to the Muppets?

I still think she is totally nuts, but she may have done one of her smartest moves for a long time, playing a fake Hole-reunion to make us forget about last week insanity.
