Active Viewin’: Concert Picks Week Of April 9th, 2012

I once wrote a short story about going on a date with God (it's a long… er, short story), and we went to see Pulp on the date. If all you know of Pulp is "Common People", get thee to Radio City on Tuesday (which still has tix available) or Wednesday (sold out) and see God.

Monday – The Horrors – MHOW – The album came and went here but was NME's album of the year. Their New Wavey Gothisms should translate well.

Tuesday -  The Ting Tings – Webster Hall – One hit wonders? Only if sales are the same as sound.

Thursday – Salsa For A Cure – BB Kings – The great George Lamond woll be there.

Friday – The Pretty Reckless – irving Plaza – Better then a pretty young TV star has any right to be.

Saturday – Further – Beacon Theater – I'd have gone myself, only the cheap seats are sold out.

Sunday – Local H – Mercury Lounge – I saw this duo open for STP at MSG a long time ago and have loved them ever since. Even if it wasn't a Sunday, i'd go.
