Slick back perv 'stache Nick Cave really grosses me out. I can hardly look at this band for the sheer disgust of it. That being said- was a video a good idea?
Well its a good way to disturb. The puppet stop animation is so arty and coupled with Caves goth tone well it'll get the hipsters squeaking. Yes its lovely art and dark and moody but its also been done a thousand times a million times better.
Animated by Julie Garrod who specializes in creating tactile, macabre and unsettling puppet stop motion animated films this is the perfect pairing with Grindermans hairline. Upsetting but not enough to care about.
The tune is typical and offers nothing in the way of unique. This may impress the new kids in town who have never seen this type of 'art' before, but for the rest of us, we deserve better. Hey has been, you're trying to hard to be edgy.
Thanks for trashing my work so eloquently and with so much style. I’m just surprised that you omitted any reference to Svankmajer, most of my critics at least refer to me as a Svankmajer rip-off merchant. I didn’t get paid for this music video by the way, they gave me £200 to cover costs and I filmed it in 2 weeks so considering these factors I would say I did a pretty good job. I hope you are as proud of your writing skills.
