The world of rock and roll is filled with right bastards but even if it was much smaller and much narrower there would be room enough for Don Henley. A California hedonist who took the Byrds, and more specifically Gram Parsons, invention of country rock and neutered it for the masses. Don Henley is the Pat Boone of country rock. What he is so pleased with himself over, besides his money I mean, is beyond me.
But is he happy? He should be, getting off scott free from the statutory rape charge. But I've never seen him smile, all I ever see is him pointing his fingers in front of star struck congressmen and demanding more money. Plus, according to an intimidate friend of Henley's, he smells bad and has dandruff and is crap in bed (I added the last one, but it is a harsh but fair assessment)
Now the contemptuous oaf is going after Frank Ocean because Frank sampled "Hotel California". Frank wrote on Tumblr: "DON HENLEY IS APPARENTLY INTIMIDATED BY MY RENDITION OF HOTEL CALIFORNIA. He threatened to sue if I perform it again. I think that's fuckin awesome."
