Drake’s New Writing Partner

So has it come to this? Drake used his ex-girlfriend's actual voice on his song "Marvin's Room" and now She is suing him for royalties!! I guess it is poetic justice to put it mildly, as though Drake's concerns about love.

The thing about the success (and also about money) is you are always paying for love. Even the greatest of loves is tainted by doubt. Which is certainly one reason why Drake might hold on tight to an old girlfriend. All over Take That, this is a major concern for Drake: he breaks up with girls because they told trust him and he doesn't trust them. He is so paranoid, he gives Kanye a run for his money. Only a Jay-Z manages to go from pimping and using to find the one who is on his level.

Anyway,  accoding to pitchfork this is what  Drake's spokesperson said about his ex Ericka Lee request for royalties:

"This claim is entirely without merit and our client has not engaged in any wrongful conduct. Ericka Lee consented to the use of her voice in the song 'Marvin’s Room' prior to its release. Lee asked only for the credit she received as 'Syren Lyric Muse,' and she did not ask for any compensation. It was only after she retained a lawyer that there was a demand for payment. Drake tried for months to resolve the matter amicably, and he now looks forward to being vindicated in court."
