Woody Fuller On Writing For rock nyc
Why do i write? How did i start writing?

Actually, I hate to write, I always have, i dreaded each time I was forced to write anything. I have horrible chicken scratch hand writing and am i somewhat slow typer.. no fun.

But then I got to go see a FREE concert, and all I had to do what write about it.. easy peasy lemon squeezy. I love music. I can do a little writing for something I love. Then I started writing more, more shows, talking to more people, sucking any music info I could out of anybody, because, for once, I wanted to write about it. I enjoyed it.

I don’t write everyday. Maybe I think ill run out of “interesting” things to write about. Maybe its just not fun if I “have” to write every day..

There is no way in any of the seven circles of hell I would be in this junction of life if it wasn’t for rock nyc and me becoming a “writer.” I have ideas and thoughts in my head, and I feel people should be exposed to them. Call it selfish. Sure. “You are just to0 confident,” my friend Laura said to me. Almost cocky. Oh well, it beats the alternative.

Thank you rock nyc for giving me something productive and proactive to do. Allowed me to witness concert, and music festivals, meet bands and other music industry professions on their grind. You have opened up infinite doors for me to enter, check out, leave, and continue my exploration down the road less traveled.
