Alesana, Scary Weird and Wonderful- By Mary Magpie
Alesana is a loud, scary, screamy hardcore band. One of the few that I can tolerate, they’re most certainly the most talented hardcore group out there. So when I bought their album “The Emptiness” listened to it, read the little book that came with it, I was excited to see their video for their song “The Thespian”. And BOY was it scary.

The song has always been a favourite of mine with untouchable melody and seemingly impossible screams, and the video did it justice. It was scary and I wanted to turn away from watching it, but it kept me entranced. It followed what happened in the story, and was disturbingly wonderful. Seeing a few of the boys of Alesana act in the video was very cool to see, because it shows they’re multi-talented.

“The Thespian” video is scary, weird, wonderful, and unique.
