"Deadly Weapon" by Eyes Set To Kill: Unusual by Mary Magpie
The song “Deadly Weapons” by Eyes Set To Kill ft. Craig Mabbitt is …unusual. I absolutely hate girl singers, but this song I don’t mind. The screaming and Craig Mabbitt’s voice balance it out and make it a good song. It’s not so screamy that it gives you a headache, but it supplies the rush of listening to a hardcore song. The tune and instruments laid upon it make it a good song.
The music video, on the other hand, is disappointing. It rips off Fall Out Boy’s “A Little Less 16 Candles, a Little More Touch Me” video. Watch them both and count the similarities. You’d think they’d be a little bit more original. And because it’s already been done, it loses its thrill. The beginning of the video was good, but as it got closer to the end, it had been everything I’ve seen before. I can see why they did the vampire idea, it’s entertaining and everyone on earth likes vampires. But why copy some other band?
I’d buy the song, but not the video. It’s unoriginal.
