There’s a real fun profile of Vampire Weekend in Cali in the current issue of the New Yorker.

A lotta good stuff here. The meeting with Blink 182′s Tom Delonge is priceless and the Sheriff asking them if they’ve accepted Jesus is worth the read alone.

They are only offering an abstract on line (and the double issue is a mindboggling $5.99 – I am happy I subscribe) but here it is anyway. They’ll prolly post the whole thing in a week or two. http://www.newyorker.com/reporting/2010/01/04/100104fa_fact_widdicombe
